What do you enjoy most about teaching in our Junior School?

I love having the opportunity to open children’s minds to discovery. Watching a child work something out, learn something new, do something on their own is just the greatest moment. As teachers we have opportunities every day to watch this wonder occur and that is why I love my job.

Do you have a passion project beyond teaching?

I love to sew. I taught myself last year and have found I really enjoy it and it is my way of allowing my brain to tune out. I especially enjoy making my own dresses for school in fun prints and now with matching face masks!

If you could, what would you most like to change in the world?

I would change people not feeling like that are enough. There are so many social pressures, especially on young people. I wish everyone the feeling, when they wake up, of being content. Looking in the mirror and confidently accepting that what they are, where they are and who they are, at any given moment, is ENOUGH.
