Great Southern Grammar’s Principal Mark Sawle will be retiring at the end of 2023 after leading the school for the past seven years.

Chair of School Council Fran Leary said Mr Sawle has had an enormous impact on the school.

“On behalf of the school community, I would like to congratulate Mr Sawle on his highly regarded career achievements and wish him well for his retirement,” Mrs Leary said.

Mrs Leary said Mr Sawle’s contributions are extensive and he has been a passionate advocate for the wellbeing and education of our students.

“We will miss his compassion, humility, and deep commitment to the students, families and staff in our community.”

The School Council now commence an Australia-wide recruitment process and the position will be open for applications from 6 April to 8 May 2023.

“It is a unique opportunity for an educator and leader to lead a day and boarding school with an exciting future ahead,” Mrs Leary said.

“The new Principal will have the opportunity to work with the School Council in developing the next iteration of our strategic plan.”

Later this year the School Council looks forward to introducing the new Principal to our school and the local community.
