Fees and Conditions

At Great Southern Grammar, we support your child’s future by offering the gift of learning at an affordable price.

Great Southern Grammar has an open enrolment policy, providing girls and boys from Kindergarten to Year Twelve with a world of opportunity in a supportive, country setting. A diverse community premised upon Christian foundations and a values-based philosophy is the result.

Application Fee

Parents/guardians register their child by completing the Application for Admission form and paying the $50.00 Application Fee. This is a one-off, non-refundable fee to cover administration costs applying to each application.

Endowment Fee 

An Endowment Fee of $2,000.00 for all new students confirms your child’s place at the school. Payment of this fee completes the enrolment process. The non-refundable, non-transferrable fee is used to support the quality buildings and facilities on campus.

Fees and Levies

Tuition fees include most textbooks, sporting registration fees, excursions and after-school academic support.

Fees do not include compulsory school uniform, personal stationery or consumables, entrance fees to sporting venues, music tuition, work books or texts notated by students, the ICT levy or special and voluntary events during the year.

The ICT levy supports the school's one-to-one policy that sees students in Junior School provided with classroom devices, and a take-home device for students in Years Seven to Twelve. 

Residential boarding fees are additional to tuition fees and provide services seven days per week, including accommodation, meals, supervision, an activities programme and laundry services. A travel service is also provided for students to attend offsite appointments and sporting commitments. 

Tuition and boarding fees are charged to family accounts each term and are due 14 days after commencement of each term. 

Some families prefer to pay their fees weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Edstart is an alternative payment option to assist families manage their school fee payments. You can spread your school fees into weekly, fortnightly or monthly instalments, as well as extending payments over a longer period. Visit for more information.

Fee Concessions

A discount on tuition and boarding fees applies to members of the same family (siblings) attending the school at the same time, providing fees are paid on time. A five per cent discount is offered for the second child; 25 per cent for the third child; and 50 per cent for the fourth and subsequent children.

Assistance for Boarders

Federal and State Government assistance may be available for parents and will depend on each student's living arrangements during the school year.

Families who qualify for the Federal Government Assistance for Isolated Children Scheme may be entitled to a Boarding Allowance. If you qualify for the Assistance for Isolated Children, you may also qualify for the State Government Boarding Away from Home Allowance.

Immunisation Requirements

As of 22 July 2019, parents/guardians of children enrolling in long day care, family day care, pre-kindergarten or kindergarten are required to provide the child’s current Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement, demonstrating that the child is up-to-date with scheduled immunisations (according to theNational Immunisation Program) for their age. This statement must be no more than two months old. Please refer to thisFact Sheetfor further information.

AnExemption Eligibility Form(family circumstances) is available from the Department of Health website. This form can be used by the school’s Principal to determine if a child, whose immunisation status is not up-to-date, satisfies any of the listed exemptions.
