Great Southern Grammar is proud to be one of only a few Yalari partner schools in Western Australia. Since 2005, Yalari has provided Indigenous children with full scholarships for their entire secondary school education.
Yalari is a not-for-profit organisation supporting Indigenous childrens' education. Yalari provides programmes that bring about generational change by giving Indigenous children the opportunity for a first-class education through full boarding scholarships at some of the highest achieving schools in Australia. The Rosemary Bishop Indigenous Education Scholarship programme invites applications once a year, with applications closing at the end of April for entry the following year.
Pastoral care commitments are a major focus for Yalari and a key factor in our successful operating model. Yalari aims to nurture the whole child, giving everyone a chance to shine and lead in their own way by recognising their personal potential, not only those who are academically gifted or good at sport.
Yalari students have many chances for life-changing experiences, through their education and boarding school experiences, travel and camps during school holidays, and involvement in Yalari fundraising activities. Through these experiences, their confidence and abilities bloom.
