The GSG Parents’ and Friends’ Association is led by an active group of parents working to raise funds for allocation to special school projects, improving amenities at Great Southern Grammar for students. Additionally, the P&F hosts events and assists with the fostering of relationships between parents, teachers and other stakeholders within the School.
As a parent at Great Southern Grammar, you automatically become a member of the P&F and we welcome you with a big smile! We are a friendly bunch and encourage parents to become involved through volunteering, attending meetings and socialising at events. The P&F provides a great forum for meeting other parents and becoming involved helps you to become more familiar with the fantastic GSG community.
Key P&F fundraising activities include: Walkathon, Kingfisher Fair (alternate years) and the Footy Tipping Competition. Further details of these can be found below.
P&F meetings are a great source of information for parents about what is happening in the subschools, big-picture planning for the school and other relevant issues. It provides an opportunity for ideas to be raised on where funds should be spent on campus and is a forum to ask questions of the school Executive, with the Principal and/or Deputy Principal in attendance at each meeting.
