From the Principal

Welcome to Great Southern Grammar, where wide-open spaces equal wide-open futures.

GSG is a not-for profit independent school, drawing students from across and beyond the Great Southern region, with 725 students currently enrolled.

Located on 144 acres with Oyster Harbour frontage between the King and Kalgan Rivers, in Albany, Western Australia, our campus is as expansive as our curriculum.

A country school with city opportunities, we offer children everything from science to scuba diving, maths to marine science, and history to humanities. It is this richness of learning, and breadth of experiences that allows children to uncover their strengths and passions.

We give children the latitude to discover their talents, build independence and come into their own.

Our values are integrity, respect, tolerance and compassion.

Our mission is to provide the young people of the Great Southern region and beyond with a world-class school incorporating a liberal education, the Christian faith and a maritime heritage.

GSG offers girls and boys a world of opportunity in a supportive country setting. GSG is more than just a school, however. It is a growing, thriving community that prospers and succeeds on the basis of the contribution of all of its members.

I invite you to become part of the Great Southern Grammar community; a community that values the education of the whole child. Please contact the Registrar on 9844 0300 to arrange a tour of the school and our outstanding facilities. I look forward to meeting you.
